Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: This event will kick-off at Kalamazoo City Hall at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast and volunteer check-in, with service beginning at sites at 9 a.m. Lunch will be delivered to sites around noon. In the afternoon, join others for a march that starts at 3:30 p.m. from the Bernhard Center on WMU’s campus to MLK Park in downtown Kalamazoo.  Register
VolunBeer Kalamazoo: Jan. 28, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Join Aspiring Leaders United for VolunBeer at One Well Brewing to work on projects like feminine hygiene kits, T-shirt totes, and diaper repackaging, while enjoying the company of other Aspiring Leaders United while enjoying a complimentary drink & apps provided by One Well. VolunBeer is free for members; $5 at the door for non-members.  Register

VolunBeer Battle Creek: Feb. 20, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Join Aspiring Leaders United for VolunBeer in Battle Creek! The event begins at Community Action (175 Main St. Battle Creek), where we will work with their teachers on projects to support their preschool program. After, we’ll head to The Fire Hub to celebrate our impact and enjoy a complimentary drink and apps. VolunBeer is free for members; $5 at the door for non-members.  Register
Impact Tour Battle Creek: Feb. 28, 2:30-5 p.m. Free tour of agencies working to boost economic stability for local families. Begins and ends at United Way, 34 W. Jackson St., Battle Creek.  Register

Pop Up Giving for Income: March 12, 5-7 p.m. at WMU’s Esports Arena, formerly known at The Little Theatre. Pop Up Giving is a collaborative giving event where the crowd funds the pot, hears three nonprofits pitch and votes to decide where the money goes. $20 donation. Registration opens Jan. 9.  Register
